All we are is dust in the kiln.
We're a new pottery studio- one for you! We're passionate about creating a welcoming, safe, and comfortable Third Space for anyone who wants to create with clay. We offer classes, memberships, walk-ins, and more!
We're now open- come on in! Tuesday-Sunday, 11am-8pm. If you're a member, we're also open on Monday 11am-8pm.
You can find us at 1227 E. 17th Avenue, in the EZE MOP Building. We share a building with the amazing Revolte Goods and Babylon Floral, right next door to Cafe Miriam- come make a day of it! Look for the big yellow sign.
Because playing in the mud is much more fun than working for a large corporation.
Doing pretty well, thanks for asking. How are you?
clay-oss. Like chaos but with clay. But also spelled different.
We have street parking only, but there's usually something available nearby!
We do our best! The space has wheelchair clearance with no steps. We also have adjustable height tables and a tabletop wheel with a lever for speed adjustments. Our utility sinks don't allow for clearance underneath the basins and they're slightly taller than average, but we'll help with cleanup whenever necessary.
Definitely! Taking a class is the right thing to do in your case, so be sure to sign up for an account to be notified when classes start.
If you're confident in your ability to work unguided, then we'd love to have you. Stop in to get acquainted with the layout of the studio and how we work to see if it's a good fit for your needs!
No charge for time in the handbuilding area! Please just remember that we are in a small space with limited seats. If you've been working on your piece for six hours and there's a line out the door, consider letting others have their time. We recommend making a reservation to ensure you have a spot. Reservations are quick and easy to make in the user dashboard.
As much as we'd love to, our limited space doesn't allow for production-level quantities from any individual.
As great as they are, have you ever noticed how children can sometimes be destructive? We're in a small space with extremely fragile objects and equipment with moving parts. For this reason, we will only allow children 12 and up. Also, the music we play here might have some swears in it. Same goes for dogs- we don't want them hearing any bad words. If you have young kids and are looking to make some pottery, we can recommend some great places nearby!
No, that's Tusk and he's made of papier mâché- adopted from just a block away at Talulah Jones- check 'em out!
